Considering they are both on the 4.0 scale I would say that in and of itself makes it about the same… however… college implies that you have had a broader education and harder course loads as well… so therefore I would say its not just the GPA but what your GPA covered…
They are both calculated in the same way and are both on a 4.0 scale however, if they say a “college gpa of 3.0″ is required then that means that if you have ever attended a university then you need to have at lease at 3.0. They should have a different standard for high school. I must warn you though most places have a higher gpa standard for high school because they assume that it is easier than college course work.
