Each college is different but I am not sure how they would look at the old G.P.A. like that. Admissions departments can probably be helpful to you in finding out more on this matter.

yeah i’m pretty sure u can!! u go girl/dude!!! if ur still thinking of getting an education 10 yrs after u finished high school, thats a pretty good enough reason to accept u into MY university…
unfortunately i dont have one. but i cen tell u this: my sister is now doing an MBA (masters in business admin) even tho she never got a bachelor’s degree. straight off high school!! but her college accepted her because she had the work experience to make up for the usual 4-year college education….
i guess many many colleges would accept u without like a silly little 10-yr-old GPA. maybe they’ll just make u do like this year’s SATs or something… i mean even SATs expire after 2 years and u have to re-do them, so yeah i’m sure ur high school GPA doesnt even count now, even if it was 5.5!

I too suffered from a low GPA after my first two years at community college. However, after a long hiatus, not unlike your own, I too returned and repeated the same courses I’d failed earlier. Being very nearly thirty at the time, I did well and transferred to a well known university where my earlier grades were expunged from my records, and I went on to attain university honors. If your college offers a academic counseling service or perhaps an academic advisor, I’d recommend that you first speak with him or her and find out what can be done. Many universities are willing to work with adult learners who may have had earlier difficulties.
