I owe ,000 on my financial aid loan and they wont let me get a deferment. I am a single mother and I wat to go back to school part time but its too expensive to pay out per credit. I live in NYC, do I have any other options? I really want to go back

1. You can get federal college loans.
2. You can get loans or grants from the school that you plan to attend.
3. You can borrow money from a bank.
4. You can get a grant or loan from a relative.
5. You can run up debt on a credit card. (high rates of interest.)
6. You can borrow money against a car or house that you own.
If you have a loan from school A and they won’t give you any more, consider going to school B. Maybe they will loan you the money.

I would suggest if you or your family/friends have any additional credit/debit card, you may need to save money until the cash comes through your card.

Yes, there are other ways to pay for school besides fin aid… it’s called a job. Get one and pay off what you owe before you start back. It has to be the right TIME to start school… and until you pay off your old loan, it obviously isn’t the right time for you.
