www.athleticscholarships.net There are several ways college coaches evaluate potential high school athletes. These include the information they are given from the athlete, from a third party, and from seeing the athlete in person. Coaches want to be able to verify your athletic abilities in more than one way. Coaches are evaluating athlete in three areas: 1) academics 2) character/fit 3) athletic ability/potential. High school athletes should be sending college coaches their information if they are interested in playing for their team. This includes compiling a resume and creating a recruiting video to show the coaches. In each resume, you should be providing athletic stats, academic information, and a personal letter to the coach. In the video, make sure you have highlight footage, game tape and are clearly identified in all of your footage. In order to evaluate you and pursue you as an athlete, college coaches are going to need to see your video. College coaches also rely on verified third party evaluations from camps and combines. It’s a good idea to get verified at several combines so that you have more verification to send to college coaches. When coaches can afford it, they will also travel to see an athlete play in person at a tournament or high school game, but this happens only with the schools with the recruiting budget to allow it.

Bishop Walker received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana; a Master of Divinity Degree from Vanderbilt University and a Doctor of Ministry Degree from Princeton Theological Seminary. Particularly, he credits Southern University with giving him the wisdom necessary to hold his current post as Bishop of Senior Pastors within the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship, which is under the leadership of International Presiding Bishop Paul S. Morton. At each university, however, he was surrounded by some of America’s leading academic minds, which proved invaluable to him. Bishop Walker is also a member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity and the Kappa Kappa Psi Band Fraternity. He is married to the former Dr. Stephaine Hale. She is Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Neonatology at Vanderbilt University. In 1992, at the age of 24, Bishop Walker began his pastorate at Mt. Zion with 175 members. Presently, the ministry has grown to over 25000 and continues to grow at a phenomenal rate of over 1800 souls per year. Under Bishop Walker’s leadership, Mt. Zion’s ministry has expanded beyond its original location in the Historic Jefferson Street Corridor to eight weekly services in three physical locations and includes not only mtzionAnywhere.org, its fourth church location, but also other virtual outlets such as facebook and twitter. As philanthropists, in 2010, Bishop and his wife, Dr. Stephaine Walker, founded the non-profit Dr. Joseph …

The Georgia Department of Revenue offers some interesting tax deductions and tax credits for state residents. GA Sponsored 529 Plans: Contributions to a Georgia sponsored 529 Plan allows for a tax deduction. State residents can deduct up to 00 per tax year per beneficiary from their state taxes regardless of income. In addition, the beneficiary does not have to be a dependent of the contributor. Taxpayers have until the April tax filing due date (April 17 for 2012) to make contributions for the previous year to receive the state tax deduction. This provides taxpayers a rare opportunity to affect their tax liability for 2011. Georgia Driver Education Tax Credit: The state of Georgia allows taxpayers to take up to a 0 Driver Education tax credit. Credits are a dollar for dollar reduction in your tax liability. This credit can be taken for the amount paid for a dependent minor child to successfully complete a driver’s education course at a private driver training school licensed by the Department of Public Safety. The amount of the credit is 0 or the actual amount paid for the course, whichever is less. Georgia Student Scholarship Organization Tax Credit: Citizens and corporations are eligible to receive a Georgia tax credit for donations to Georgia Student Scholarship Organizations (SSOs). SSOs will provide student scholarships to parents, which will help cover the cost of a private school education for their children in the state of Georgia.

All Obama’s pastor say is common sense. ____________________________ Trinity United Church of Christ, to the media coverage of Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s more inflammatory comments. “AN ATTACK ON OUR SENIOR PASTOR AND THE HISTORY OF THE AFRICAN AMERICAN CHURCH”: Chicago, Ill. (March 15, 2008) — Nearly three weeks before the 40th commemorative anniversary of the murder of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the Reverend Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr.’s character is being assassinated in the public sphere because he has preached a social gospel on behalf of oppressed women, children and men in America and around the globe. “Dr. Wright has preached 207792 minutes on Sunday for the past 36 years at Trinity United Church of Christ. This does not include weekday worship services, revivals and preaching engagements across America and around the globe, to ecumenical and interfaith communities. It is an indictment on Dr. Wright’s ministerial legacy to present his global ministry within a 15- or 30-second sound bite,” said the Reverend Otis Moss III, pastor of Trinity United Church of Christ. During the 36-year pastorate of Dr. Wright, Trinity United Church of Christ has grown from 87 to 8000 members. It is the largest congregation in the United Church of Christ (UCC) denomination. “It saddens me to see news stories reporting such a caricature of a congregation that has been such a blessing to the UCC’s …

“Asserting your Constitutional rights is not a trick in any way,” says Steve Silverman of the Flex Your Rights Foundation. “What the police officers do is a trick.” Silverman started Flex Your Rights in 2002 after spending years working with college students who lost scholarships because of minor drug busts. Since then the organization has produced two popular videos, Busted: The Citizen’s Guide to Surviving Police Encounters and 10 Rules For Dealing with the Police, both of which have millions of views on YouTube and have been screened in classrooms and communities around the country. Silverman sat down with Reason.tv’s Tim Cavanaugh to discuss the best tactics to employ during a police encounter and to explain why it is in your best interest to refuse to consent to a search, even if you have nothing to hide. Approximately 9 minutes. Interview by Tim Cavanaugh. Shot by Hawk Jensen, Paul Detrick, and Austin Bragg. Edited by Zach Weissmueller.
Governor Haslam: It has been a rewarding month so far as we work towards our goal of transforming state government. On June 6, I had the privilege of signing the anti-meth bill also known as the “I hate meth” bill. This law will increase the penalty for making meth. It will track the sale of products with pseudoephedrine which is used to make meth, and now officers will have access to that real time information. The new law will also stiffen the penalties for making meth in the presence of children. Depending on the age of the child, an offender would face a class “A” or “B” felony and 15 to 25 years in prison. I want to thank senators Mae Beavers, and Randy Mcnally along with representatives Debra Maggart and David Hawk for sponsoring this anti meth legislation. On June 8, MTSU hosted us as we celebrated a milestone event in education reform. One of our initiatives was to make the hope scholarship available for summer courses. Which we believe will help students earn their degree faster. Senator Tracy: I’ve been wanting for years to do this, this is a great opportunity to do this it’s going to give more students an opportunity to use this Hope scholarship in summer school as Dr. Mcfee said move them through and follow through with what we started 10 years ago on the complete college act of Tennessee so I’m very excited about it. Governor Haslam: It’s important that we align our goals with how we are rewarding people and the chance to talk to several students this morning …
