GPA College11 How much does a College GPA affect getting a job?

In high school, your GPA was a very important factor on where you could go to school. After graduating college, how important is one’s GPA? Are companies more interested in other activities the student was involved in, what (if any) job experience, etc etc

Your college GPA can really get you a great job. if you have a high GPA just try to maintain it and shoot for the highest GPA. When employers look at your resume, the first thing they look at your resume is your GPA. if you have a great GPA, they will hire you even though u don’t have any experience or u were not involved in the activities. They would think that you are a responsible, very determinent, and diligence person. they would take you as a serious employee.

If you’re interested in a very specialized field of work, for which your major in college was specific for, then GPA matters. Otherwise, most of the time the only thing that matters is that you graduated college. For example, if you want to be an Electrical Engineer, you would have to study Electrical Engineering in college. And then when you try to get a job, everyone else thats applying for it has the same degree, so they look at GPA, internships, etc. However if you’re just going to get a job that doesn’t require you to have a specific degree for it, then as long as you graduated it usually doesn’t matter. However, having a high GPA doesn’t hurt. Who knows, you may choose to continue education and get a Master’s degree down the line, which is getting more and more important these days.
