Calculate Your Gpa

At which grade does colleges start considering if you made it into there college and how do they calculate you overall highschool gpa? Does the second semester matter more than the first?

    they calculate freshmen year ,and every class and semester is the same.

    No, the second semester doesn’t matter more than the first. Different colleges have different ways of looking at the GPA. Most start looking at your GPA in freshman year, but there are a few which only look at your sophomore and junior years, and some which weight freshman year less than the other two. Also, most colleges look at “unweighted GPA”, which means that the GPA for all classes (including honors, AP, or IB classes) is calculated on a 4-point basis, and then they look at the rigor of the courses you took separately, but there are some schools which have their own way of weighting certain types of classes so that you get more credit for certain tougher classes.

    i have found in my experiences that improper grammar generally constitutes a gpa of approximately 1.
