If it is a 4.00 scale, give each letter grade the follow values: A=4; B=3, C=2, D=1 and F=0. Add the values and divide by 6. If you need to carry it further: A=4, A- = 3.7, B+ = 3.5, B=3, B- = 2.7, C+ = 2.5, C=2, C- = 1.7, D+ = 1.5, D=1, D- = .7.
well it depends if you have a 5.0 scale or a 4.0 scale on a 4.0 scale
A=4pts
B=3pts
C=2pts
D=1pt
F=0pts
you take all your letter grades and take the numbers and average them together i.e. AAAABB
4+4+4+4+3+3=22
22/6=3.66666 round up you got a 3.67 gpa
5.0
A=5
B=4
C=3
D=2
F=1
same letters
AAAABB
5+5+5+5+4+4=4.66666 or4.67
and if you have ap classes those are weighted so every A is 5 or 6 B is 4 or 5 *depending on scale those are worth extra points but if you’re on a 4.0 scale and get an A in the AP classes the A is worth 5 instead of 4 (5.0 is 6.0)
so if you get straight As in AP classes you have a 5.0/4.0 gpa or 6.0 out of 5.0 gpa check ya later ?
the easiest way is by dividing the grade points earned by the number of credits attempted.
or ,calculated by dividing the total number of grade points received by the total number attempted

A = 4 points
B = 3 points
C = 2 points
D = 1 point
F = 0 points
Add up your points then divide by 6. That’s your GPA.
