How do I calculate my unweighted gpa if I'm taking all honors classes?

Calculate Your Gpa

I’ve tried calculating my GPA with the honors-classes way, but I get something like 4.2, which is, quite frankly, not my level.
So then I was told that that was my… weighted gpa?
I think.
& I’d like to know how to calculate my unweighted gpa.. Does it matter that I’m taking honors classes, in the end?

Unweighted GPA means you don’t get any extra points for taking honors classes. So just calculate your GPA using the actual grades you got in the class.

I know how you feel i’m in honors classes also. I read that colleges look at your unweighted gpa. The weighted gpa shows the rigor of your honors classes. Most colleges require that your unweighted gpa is around a 2.5 or 3.0 to get accepted. Colleges want to see that you took the most demanding classes in high school. You calculate the unweighted gpa on the 4.0 grading scale. I think your unweighted gpa would be a 3.0 something. I hope I helped.
