To calculate GPA without using a calculator you take your grade in the class and convert it to a number (A=4.0, A-=3.667, B+=3.333, B=3.00, etc.), then multiply that number by the amount of units the course was worth. (Ex: if the course was 4 units and you received a B+, you would multiply 3.333 by 4).
Repeat that process for all your classes, adding up each value.
Then, divide the number by your total number of units. This is your GPA.
